HAPPY PRESIDENT'S DAY and most importantly.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM a/k/a GRANDMA SUE!!!We hope you had a fantastic day.

Today was an in-service day for the teachers at the school which meant no school for the kids. Declan's friend Brooklyn came over and spent the day with us. They played Game Cube for a little bit this morning and then it was time to leave for the dentist. Both boys had their 6 month teeth cleaning appointment. They both did great and got a good report. They finally were able to get x-rays on Liam. Apparently he has a pretty sensitive gag reflex so it is hard for him to hold the little piece in his month. He also likes to play with the piece with his tongue and knocks it out of place before they can snap the picture....but today he did great. We also discover that Declan's two upper front teeth are on their way in and guess what......his baby teeth aren't interested in leaving his mouth right now. So it is possible that we will have to have them pulled like we did with the lower front teeth. YIPPIE!!! Declan loves going to the dentist so he is hoping this will be the case. I would just like his baby teeth to fall out like normal baby teeth!!

After the dentist we came back to the house for a couple hours before heading out to a doctors appointment for Liam. He had an appointment with an ENT to check out his tonsils. The doctor (who is the one that I go to) said that Liam does definitely have very large tonsils and to listen/watch how he sleeps to see if they pose any problems. He isn't too concerned about the several cases of strep he had last year since he hasn't had strep this year. So we will pay attention to how he sounds when he sleeps and let the doctor know. The doctor did say that he should grow "into" his tonsils, it is just a matter of time.

Being the brave soul that I am, we ventured over to McDonalds with the indoor play place for lunch and play time. THE PLACE WAS PACKED!!! Apparently when school is out the place to be is McDonalds but I never got the memo or else I would have picked another place. It also didn't help that the McDonalds we went to is right by the movie theater and the 1 o'clock showing of Curious George was sold out and everyone was trying to kill time until the next showing at 3 o'clock. I only know this because we ran into a friend of ours that was doing just that. Anyway, the kids played for about an hour and then it was back to the house for even more play time. What a day!

In other news.....we finally heard from Liam's soccer coach for the Spring session....I was beginning to wonder if we would ever hear from someone since they play their first game in two weeks. They are going to have practice on Thursdays which is great for our schedule. We also found out that one of Liam's friends from school is on his team so that will be fun. Hopefully it won't be too distracting.
