I have been charged with being caring and good natured, and in result, have been sentenced to serve time at the Muscular Dystrophy Association maximum appreciation jail on Thursday, June 7th!
This year, I have the honor and pleasure of participating in MDA's Williamson Co. Jailbird Lock-Up 07 to help "Jerry's Kids®". To reach my goal I need your help & here is how……
The only way for me to be released with a clean record is for my bail to be posted in the amount of $1,500.00. The bail posted for my release is a tax deductible donation to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and will help continue research into the causes and cures for forty neuromuscular diseases. Your support of the MDA Jailbird Lock-Up will also help MDA provide services to over 1200 local individuals, including orthopedic equipment, clinic visits and summer camp.
Any amount, even a dollar, is welcomed and appreciated. Every little bit helps! If you want to help bail me get out of jail, visit my personal donation page. MDA serves people in our community with neuromuscular disease by providing clinics, support groups, assistance with the purchase and repair of wheelchairs, braces and communication devices, and summer camp for kids. MDA also funds research grants to help find treatments and cures for some 43 neuromuscular diseases that affect people of all ages, right here in our community. Here are a few examples of what your help enables MDA to do:
· $25 provides an annual flu shot for one person
· $65 funds one minute of research
· $100 funds a support group session
· $200 covers a clinical diagnostic exam
· $650 sends a child to MDA summer camp for a week
· $2,000 goes toward purchase of a wheelchair, a set of leg braces or a communication device
I sincerely hope that you'll take the opportunity to support MDA. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call or e-mail me.
On behalf of the families MDA serves, thank you!!!
