In life although there are lots of things that boys can do that girls can do just as well, there are those things that little sisters should sit out. Here is a perfect example.....

Last night before dinner the boys were playing football in the house. This is an activity that happens often and rarely do one of the boys end up with an injury. They have a mini football that they toss to each other and they have a grand time playing. It is a very contact sport and they love it. Yesterday, Teah decided that she wanted to be in on the game. Her brothers figured it would be great to have another person in the game and so were happy to have her join them. The ball was tossed back and forth a few times and all was well, however, that is the end of the fun exciting game. I went into my bedroom for something and heard the most horrific scream come from Teah. She had the ball and had gotten tackled, tackled right into the leg of the couch. It wouldn't have been so bad if she had hit it with a large part of her body, however she caught the leg with her eye. Ouch!! her eye and side of head immediately started to swell and turn lovely shades of bruised! We fought her to get some Motrin down and some ice on her eye and she snuggled up with Chris on the couch.

Liam was heartbroken that he had hurt his little sister and determined that he would be grounded. We explained that it was an accident but that they have to remember that Teah is a girl and isn't always as tough as them. Teah insisted that it wasn't an accident! You got to love siblings!! :)

Declan had an appointment with his doctor today for a check up on his reflux issues and the doctor immediately asked what happened. Teah was happy to tell the story, through one eye, and we were told that she needs to keep ice on it as much as possible and to keep Motrin in her to help minimize the swelling. They are a bit concerned with the swelling and want us to keep a close eye on it. I will take a few more pictures this evening so you can see how much more it has swelled.
