Sunday with the family....
Today was a great day! We started the day off with church. The choir did their annual Christmas program and it was fantastic. ABBIE- you were amazing!!!
Since we went to first service this week (we didn't want to miss Abbie's solo!!) and Declan's game didn't start until 3:40pm we had some time to kill, so we treated the kids to lunch and playtime at McDonald's. Teah let out a HUGE squeal when she walked into the play area at McDonald's. They were very excited to finally get a chance to go inside and play. After lunch we surprised them with a movie....Chicken Little. It was a cute movie and the kids seemed to have enjoyed themselves. After the movie we headed over to the ice rink for Declan's game.
Declan had a great game and his team won 5 to 3. He is still trying to adjust to not being the best on the team and learning what team work is all about. He also learned today that tripping another player can lead to a penalty!! Thankfully he got a warning but the ref made it a point to let him know that this is not allowed. He is getting more aggressive on the ice which is fun to watch. I'm not sure if I enjoy it when the other kids push him, but I guess it is all part of the game.
After that we headed home for a quiet evening at home and after the busy morning & afternoon we had, it was much needed and enjoyed.
It is getting colder and the kids are praying for snow. Hopefully we will get more than one day of snow this year!
Well that is all for tonight. I hope all of you had a great weekend!!
