Chris and I had a date night tonight. We went to see Casting Crowns with Bob & Sherri and had a great time. It is nice to see that fame has not changed the hearts and purpose of the ministry of Casting Crowns. They do lots of ministry and teaching/preaching from the stage and it is fantastic. Tony Nolan is the tour pastor and he takes some time during the show to share with the audience. They stop the concert midway through and Tony talks frankly with you about accepting Christ into your life and making a choice to live for Him for the rest of your days. It is amazing!!! They also take the time to meet with Youth Pastors, Pastors and anyone that works with kids to give them tools on reaching the youth of today. All the members of Casting Crowns work within their Youth Ministry at their home church and it is great to see that the passion for our youth is so alive in their concert. If you get the opportunity to see Casting Crowns in concert, do it...it will change your life.

The kids spent the evening with Uncle Steve. I ordered pizza for them before we left and they hung out watching movies and playing Game Cube. They are all asleep in our bed so I guess Chris and I will be sleeping in the spare bedroom tonight....at least we have a spare bedroom to sleep in!!!

The kids are gearing up for a long, busy weekend. On Saturday they are going to participate in an Ironman competition with the Nashville Kats (our arena football team). They get to spend a couple hours down on the field with the team and then attend a meet & greet autograph time as well as attend an arena football game that evening. Chris, Teah & I are going to be attending the game with them. It should be a lot of fun. It will be our first arena football game!! Then on Sunday Declan has a hockey jamboree against the teams from Nashville. We will be at the ice rink for 3 hours!!! He will play 4 twenty minute games. He told me today that his goal is to score a hat trick (three goals in one game) during at least one of the games. So keep him in your prayers that he will be able to perform at the top of his game. Monday there is no school but we have a busy day....dentist appointments in the morning and then Liam is going to see my ear, nose & throat doctor about his tonsils in the afternoon. They seem way too big for his throat and since he has had some issues with strep in the past we want Dr. Mowrey to take a look at him.

Well, I am going to head off to bed. It is way, way, way past my bed time!!!
