The tooth is fixed - at least for now. It is amazing what they can do these days. We were at the dentist's office for 2 1/2 hours but it was worth it - at least in my book. Declan was happy looking like David Legwand, I on the other hand, wanted my boy with all his teeth back. I love him regardless, I just like seeing a mouth full of teeth.

The dentist said that he isn't sure how long the fake tooth will last because there wasn't much tooth left for them to build onto. In fact, they had to cut away some of the gum on the back side of the tooth because he had broken so much off in order to build up the fake tooth. They also discovered that the other teeth around the broken tooth are loose so he has to be very careful not to lose any of those. He has a follow up appointment in 6 weeks. They will do more x-rays to check the nerves, roots & whatever else they look at and they will also check the other teeth to make sure they are tightening back up. He is on a soft diet for the next week to help the process.
